I’m always on the hunt for new cruelty free products so when I found out about L.A.B. 2 brushes, I really wanted to give them a try.

I received the Triple Threat Multi-Purpose Brush, Got Nothin’ to Hide Concealer Brush and the Just Blending In Brush to test and first off, I love the packaging – it has nifty little tips for how to use the brushes that you can cut out and keep which I think is a great idea. I’m pretty new to using makeup brushes, so this is super helpful to me and I’ll definitely be keeping them in case I need them in the future.

Triple Threat Multi-purpose Brush
This brush is so soft it felt like I was putting my powder on with clouds. It doesn’t shed and while it is soft, it feels firm when you use it making sure that you get even coverage. I LOVE this brush and I’d give it a 10/10. It’s $10.99 (about £8.35) and I’d definitely recommend it.

Got Nothin’ To Hide Concealer Brush
In all honesty, I’d never used a concealer brush before (my concealer has an inbuilt brush) so I was a bit apprehensive. I normally apply concealer under my eyes to cover the fact that I look like I haven’t slept for a week and for me this brush wasn’t helpful for this. It’s quite a hard brush so I felt like I was stabbing myself in the eye when I tried to blend my concealer, and it didn’t even blend it well at all. I then used it around my nose (as suggested on the instruction card) and it did work better. I’d probably give it a 5/10, it’s probably great if you use concealer brushes, but at $6.99 I wouldn’t rush out and buy it.

Just Blending In Brush
I’d only ever used sponge applicators to apply eyeshadow before, but since I’m obsessed with eyeshadow at the moment, I was looking forward to trying it out. It didn’t disappoint – it’s a very soft brush that gives very even coverage and is great for blending colours together too. I’d really, really recommend this brush, particularly if you’re looking to change from sponge applicators; you’ll definitely see a big difference. It’s another 10/10 and could be the best $6.99 you’ve ever spent.

You can buy these brushes on the L.A.B. 2 website and follow them on Twitter and Instagram for future product updates.
